S&P 500 E-Mini on a 210 tick chart

The S&P E-Mini moved higher at about 10:00 and kept climbing throughout the morning session. The entry occurred when TurnSignal changed the color of the bars to green, the Fast Line moved above the Medium Line, the Oscillator moved above the zero line. The first place to exit this trade would have been where the Pivot Line moved up to identify a new pivot high. In this case, Fast actually crossed below Medium without crossing below Slow. One could choose to stay in the trade for as long as Fast stays above Slow to take advantage of the continuing trend to the upside or exit and re-enter when Fast crossed back up again.

Russel 2000 E-Mini 89 tick

The Russel 2000 E-Mini moved nicely down and then up during the morning session. TurnSignal changed the color of the bars to red just after the open. An entry presented itself when the Fast Line crossed below the Medium Line and the Oscillator moved down below zero. The short trade stayed intact until TurnSignal changed the color of the bars to green, the Oscillator moved above zero and the price bars moved above Fast. Some traders might consider this an excellent place to reverse as opposed to exiting and a re-entering the market. The Indicators can keep you in the trade as long as Fast stays above Medium.

Nasdaq 100 on a 144 tick chart

The NASDAQ E-MINI presented both short and long moves from the opening of the session on this 144 tick chart. Once TurnSignal changed the color of the bars to red and the Fast Line crossed below the Medium Line, the oscillator grew longer below the zero line. The trade continued intact through some changes in the bottom Pivot Line but the Fast did not cross back above the Medium until TurnSignal changed the colors back to green. Exiting on the cross to the upside and re-entering once the Fast separated from the Medium gave a brief move to the upside. The market moved down again at about 10:20 and this short move continued until the bottom Pivot Line moved down to identify the new pivot low and the price bars moved above the Fast to indicate a change in momentum.

Dow 30 Industrials on a 144 tick chart

The DOW E-MINI contract showed some activity in the last hour of the day on this 144 tick chart. At around 15:00 hrs, there was a cross of Fast over Medium to the down side followed by a color change and an Oscillator going below zero. The exit would have come when the bottom pivot moved down to identify a new pivot low and TurnSignal changed the color of the bars to green. If the first attempt at a price rise fooled us by getting us into a long position a few minutes later, the exit would have come quickly at the cross where Fast went below Medium and the top Pivot Line came down to identify a lower high. A new entry presented itself for a short run-up before 15:30 until the market turned down until the close of the session.
